Hellooooooooooooo Readers!
I've been a very busy girl lately!
I've seen Dr. Hunley my Nephrologist who was happy because I didn't have any protien in my urine, but after my bloodwork had to let Momma know that my creatnine levels are still a little above normal. He believes my kidneys are functioning at about 2/3 of normal. He said this wasn't a HUGE deal and still only wanted to see me again in a year. He said that I'm not allowed to ever have motrin, but besides that there were no diet restrictions.
The same day that they drew blood for nephrology, they went ahead and took a little extra to check my TSH and free T4 levels (thyroid). They were a little high back in June and my Endocrinologist wanted to leave my meds the same and redraw in August. So, big surprise, they were high again. Endo adjusted my meds to half the current dose. Maybe I won't need to take these for the rest of my life!
I have also had a couple of therapy evaluations in the last couple of weeks. I met with Speech and with Occupational Therapy. We don't have the official results of the evaluation but both of the therapists believe they will want to see me twice a week.
Just yesterday, I had my 15-month well-baby visit with my pediatrician, Dr. Hood. She's happy with my progress. I've put on a little over a pound since my my visit back in June, but no one is too concerned about it. I look pretty healthy. I had to get two shots and that wasn't fun, but I got over them fairly quickly. As a result of the immunizations, I ran a low-grade fever last night and today, but I'm still in pretty good spirits. Momma's pretty tired today, though because I was up for a couple of hours last night. I just WOKE UP and Momma let me play in my playroom at 2:30 in the morning.
New stuff:
*I have three teeth now! One on top and both of my front bottoms. I like to grind them together every once in a while and it's like nails on a chalkboard.
*I'm actually crawling now. On all fours with my belly up off the ground! I still sometimes do that "swim crawl" but it's rare.
*I'm officially sleeping in my pretty crib in my own room. Still only nap for about 30 minutes at a time ("snaps") and I still wake up at least three nights a week and weasel my way into Momma and Daddy's bed, but I'm mostly in my own room! Daddy wanted to know if he and Momma could have a sleep-over in MY room that first night.
*I love Baby Einstein videos. Other TV is mostly "meh" to me, but put on a Baby Einstein and I'm entranced! You can also get me with a video of myself!
*I'm really all over the place now. Not that I wasn't before, I'm just quicker and more efficient in my movements. Momma and Daddy have had to put child locks on the cabinets because I love opening the doors and getting into trouble.
*I'm not proud to admit, but I'm a hair puller. I take my job as a hair puller very seriously and Momma rarely wears her hair down these days.
*I'm also a glasses grabber. I'm pretty Quick Draw McGraw with it!
*Oh! Did I mention that I have teeth? I sometimes bite. It's not malicious (YET) but it sure hurts like the dickens. I know because I bit myself on the arm one day.
*I LOVE LOVE LOVE to dance! It's really pretty cute! I dance when my toys make music, I dance when theres a good commercial on tv, I dance when Momma's watching "Glee", I dance when someone sings to me, I dance dance dance!
*When I'm fussy, just hand me a cell phone/Blackberry. This will entertain me to no end!
*I like to crawl up into your lap and turn myself around so I'm sitting in it. It's the cutest thing! Usually someone reads a book to me when this happens.
I'm sure there are many more things I will think of later. I can always add another post. ;)
