I said it on facebook, and I will say it again, way to go baby girl, you're doing awesome. I know mommy and daddy are very proud. Keep it up sweet baby. We Love You.

Nana V / Saturday, January 17 2009 03:57 AM

Hey Sweetie Girl...with feet so sweet, you just have to grab them! We thought the video of you grabbing Fluffy was so cute. She seems to enjoy you petting her as much as you seem to like doing it. We love you and are sending you lots of hugs and kisses for your giggly self! Nana V & Grandfather

Lori, Natalie and Alyssa / Friday, January 16 2009 03:26 PM

YAY!!!!! It sounds like Etta is following in Natalie's footsteps. That is exactly how she was at that age. WOO HOO Etta! Alyssa love to grab her feet as soon as they are free too. haha

I had a big day today!

HAPPY NEW YEAR!!!

Nana V & Grandfather / Friday, January 2 2009 05:30 PM

Good Morning Etta May June Bug, We are sitting in the dining room working on the puzzle that Mommy and Daddy gave to Grandfather for Christmakah and wondered what you were up to in the new year. So, we pulled up your journal and there you were -- sleeping like the little angel you are with your New Year crown in place. Who said princesses cannot sleep with their tiara? We also love the sign your subjects prepared for you to display to ring in the new year and your 7-month birthday. And honey, it is amazing how quickly time is flying by. We can hardly believe it has been almost a week since you left your ancestral family holiday home for the cooler hills of Tennessee. Much love, Nana V & Grandfather

Hello Sugar, Grandfather and I are so lost without you around here. He said he really missed you today when he was playing the piano. We loved having you home for the holidays and hope you, Mommy and Daddy have a wonderful New Year! I'm glad to hear you like your green beans. Your momma and aunts all grew up loving their veggies so I had hoped you would too. Your mom liked asparagus the best. Probably because she could pick up the spears and nibble on them. We love you and are looking forward to seeing you in February. Please give your GMMM, GDaddy and Granny and Pop a big hug from us and thank them for sharing you with us.

Wow!! Snow-just hard to believe. I think your Mom & Dad were having more fun than you were. The pics of Franklin make us miss the real spirit of X-mas, as we have a sunny sky and tons of traffic to celebrate with here. We love you all

Nana V / Saturday, December 13 2008 10:50 PM

Wow Honey, you have sure had a busy few days! GREAT, and very thankful news about your strong heart, and then your first snowfall. And now today, you got to tour downtown Franklin is a very special setting. Grandfather and I just love downtown Franklin and hope you grow up loving it too. We miss you and Mommy and Daddy, and can barely wait to see you all again. Much love, Nana V

What wonderful news! And I'm so glad you got to be all snuggly by the fire with your Mommy yesterday. It was yucky out there!

GMM / Friday, December 12 2008 11:43 AM

Oh Etta, what a wonderful update to wake up to! We already knew you are such a strong little girl, and now the doctors know it too. I wonder if yesterday's snow was a celebration of your good health by all the angels watching over you.

Way to go Keith! Nice way to start the addiction, saying that after having a chocolate crazed moment (shhh I even sucked out the last drops out of the chocolate syrup out of bottle (no shame!). But I have to agree...5 months may be a bit early to be munching on a candy bar..jejeje...

Nana V / Sunday, November 2 2008 03:49 PM

It's hard for me do much more than smile about this Etta...your Nana V L-O-V-E-S chocolate and has a hard time imagining a world without it. But, mommy knows best!

Aunt Dena/Uncle Larry / Monday, September 29 2008 09:11 PM

Etta, you are just darling. I love to catch up on you with your videos. Very cute with you resting while Daddy rested. The exersaucer is great. I have 2 in the nursery at the church where I keep the babies and 1 year olds and they just love these. Too much to do and to look at. You will have a ball. The pictures were just so cute. Keep up the good work. Mommy and Daddy are doing great with you. One of these days when the gas gets better we will make a trip from Arkansas to see you guys and Grandmomma Mel and Grandad Rick. Ooh, Baby Etta, my ExerSaucer was my FAVORITE toy when I was littler. And Mama and Daddy seemed to like it a lot, too, because it was the first thing I'd sit in for more than ten minutes at a time, ha ha! I'm sure you'll love yours just as much!

Nana V / Saturday, September 27 2008 01:29 AM

Yea ETTA! How fun it must have been today to take a ride in your ExerSaucer! Mommy (and Daddy) knows just how to make every day an interesting day. Not to worry little one, you will soon be able to take full advantage of your new entertainment center. You will have to show me how all your toys work next month when Pops and I come to visit you. We are counting the days. Much love Nana V

That is a beautiful comparison, it does not negate the dramatic change or loss, but it makes it clear that "Holland" is an lovely place with amazing things to see and experience. I think Etta May personifies that beautifully well. We love you sweet girl.
